Principal
For nearly two decades, I served as a national leader with the country’s largest faith-based, multi-racial civil rights organizing network, where I built and led numerous efforts to organize grassroots community leaders, high-level government officials and leaders in the private sector around pressing issues facing low-income Americans. In this role, I consulted and trained thousands of organizational leaders and staff members on how to work together across their differences and be effective changemakers.
My own journey of working in a diverse multi-racial organization taught me a great deal about what it takes, especially within diverse spaces, to move beyond feelings of fear and resistance and instead show up authentically and lead powerfully. It also taught me how to work effectively with small and medium-sized teams, align them around a shared goal, and move them past their own barriers and into collective action. I am a certified Integral Facilitator, and a certified professional coach through 4D Associate’s Transformative Coaching Certification Program, which is accredited by the Certified Coaches Alliance. I am also certified in the Diamond Power Index 360 Leadership Assessment. I also serve an Associate with Delta Developmental, a leadership and organizational development consultancy that works with a wide range of leaders and organizations navigating complex problems, as well as with Gilburg Leadership, Inc., a consulting firm that supports leaders and their teams in understanding, valuing and benefiting from their greatest resource - their people. I have a deep passion for helping people (including myself!) understand that we are indeed the architects of many of our own experiences; that we have much more creative power than we realize. I am a husband and father of two awesome children, and when I'm not working or spending time with my family, you’ll likely find me running, biking or skiing in the mountains around my home in Salt Lake City.
